General    

• Did you know that this week (Feb 2nd- Feb 6th) is National School Counseling Week?! This week highlights the essential contribution of school counselors & the tremendous impact they have in helping students achieve school success & plan for a career. Take a moment to thank your counselor today.

• AHS Leadership is holding a coed 2v2 Volleyball tournament, open to both students and staff. Entry tickets will be sold from 2/2-2/6 in the atrium for $7 a person at lunch. CASH ONLY! The tournament will be from 2/9-2/13 in the gym at lunch. There’ll be cash prizes!

• Save 3 lives! Sign up for Global Medics’ blood drive this Thursday by coming to the atrium today or tomorrow at lunch!

• English Hour is happening on Thursday, February 5th, from 4 to 5 PM in the Library Computer Lab. Come by to get help on an assignment from an English teacher.

College

• Seniors! FAFSA priority deadline is approaching. Cash for College will be in the library next Wednesday, February 4th, from 5-7pm. Bring your parents and get all of your financial aid questions answered. Register using the QR code posted in your Econ classes and counseling office.

Club

• The AHS Model UN Club will meet on Wednesday, February 4, at lunch in Room C-202.

Sports

• Girls Flag Football meeting will be on Thursday, February 05, 2026, at lunchtime in S3 GO Cougars

• Cougar Football Players- please come to an important meeting on Wednesday at lunch in room 214. We will discuss preparations for the 2026 football season. Meeting will begin at 12:50 pm

• Tonight is Senior Night for boys basketball. Ceremony begins at 6:30 pm in the gym. Come celebrate the Class of 26 and stay for the big game against Jesse Bethel. Co Cougars!
